Ellie Middleton is a creator, speaker, writer and consultant who has become a leading voice in the conversation around neurodiversity.

After spending her first twenty four years believing she was neurotypical, Ellie was diagnosed with autism and ADHD. This moment transformed her life, giving her the clarity and understanding she had been searching for and allowing her to embrace the person she truly is.

Her diagnosis set her on a new path. Ellie began sharing her experiences online where she quickly built a community of more than three hundred thousand people who relate to her honest insights and practical advice. She created the (un)masked community to give neurodivergent individuals a safe place to connect, learn and grow while navigating their own journeys.

Ellie has worked with global brands including LinkedIn, Google and The Independent, helping them rethink the way society supports and understands neurodivergent people. Her mission is to highlight the strengths that come with different cognitive profiles and to advocate for a world that enables every individual to thrive. She believes that receiving a diagnosis can be a powerful moment of self discovery that opens the door to self acceptance and personal growth.

An experienced keynote speaker, Ellie has taken her message to stages across the UK, including TEDxShoreditch where her talk Why an autism diagnosis is an invitation to finally be yourself gained significant attention within weeks of release. She is also the author of Unmasked, a guide that supports those seeking clarity around ADHD, autism and neurodivergence.

Ellieโ€™s story is one of resilience, empowerment and authenticity. She continues to inspire audiences with her ability to turn lived experience into lasting change, encouraging organisations and individuals alike to embrace neurodiversity and unlock the full potential within their teams and communities.

The presentation will conclude with some quick wins that everybody in the team can implement both at work and beyond to be more neurodivergent friendly.

What people say

I just wanted to pass a note over to say that todayโ€™s event with Ellie was absolutely fantastic. Itโ€™s very rare that we have external speakers in, and having briefly spoken to some of the team afterwards they felt quite emotional and inspired on the topics of neurodiversity and how we can do some really simple and quick things to make our company more inclusive. Ellie is a brilliant speaker and weโ€™re really delighted with the keynote talk.
