Iwan is without doubt one of the finest 400m runners that Britain has ever seen.
Securing medals at all major championships, Iwan still holds the British 400m record of 44.36s, after 20 years! Not only talented in Athletics, Iwan competed internationally in BMXing, where he was ranked 4th in Europe.
In 2012, Iwan was part of Channel 4’s Athletics coverage team and was then chosen to co-host The Lottery Olympic Park Run on 31st March with Holly Willoughby, which saw over 5,000 runners crossing the finish line in the Olympic stadium for the first time. As a regular pundit for Al Jazeera, Iwan worked out in Doha on the Arab Games and for their monthly London Calling Show. His expert knowledge and fun light-hearted approach saw him move from pundit to presenter for the London Calling Show in June and he was their main track side reporter throughout the Olympic Games.
Iwan has been a long term supporter of the OCS Young Sports Person of the Year Award, presenting awards, providing video clips, interviewing and inspiring our finalists. Iwan is able to communicate his passion in an engaging and enthusiastic manner
