Andy Mouncey started a 17 year career in triathlon in 1987 competing round the world and achieving age group representation at World level for Britain in 1992.
He graduated to Ironman and raced successfully five times over this distance.

In 2003 Andy Mouncey set new record stage times for the Enduroman Arch To Arc Challenge: A 300 mile solo triathlon linking London and Paris via an English Channel swim. Andy’s was only the second ever solo crossing and his record times stood till 2014. Since 2003 Andy Mouncey has been ultramarathon running – placing with distinction in some of the top UK races and continuing to use his experiences as source material for his presentations.

Doing Big and Scary

From the lessons of his Arch To Arc experience Andy Mouncey created Doing Big and Scary. This is his unique model for consistent high performance at the heart of which is a six step goal- achieving process.  Since then he has pioneered more projects of his own design that improve life-chances by bringing the mindset and skills of an endurance athlete to children and young people.

Andy Mouncey is a qualified British Triathlon Federation & UK Athletics Level 2 Coach and Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner. He is an experienced personal trainer and conditioning coach who has worked with Olympic athletes to weekend warriors.

Andy Mouncey is also a published author and has appeared on radio and TV. He continues to speak about and coach with the principles in his model to people in business, education and sport in the UK and abroad.
