Kerry has written two of the worlds most respected and used text books on Occupational Health and Hygiene; along with over 50 peer-reviewed scientific papers. His balanced and insightful expertise is sought by Governments and Corporations around the world where risk, in its most holistic form, needs to be identified, understood and moderated.

In brief, in terms of Governments or NGO's he has provided guidance to the UK Government (DWP, Home Office, MOD), and those overseas (Thai, Australian, etc.), the European Union, the International Agency for the Research on Cancer (IARC), the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the international Labour Organisation (ILO).

In terms of Corporate clients, Kerry has specialised in providing guidance to politically sensitive issues whether it is the potential carcinogenicity of mobile telephones, petrol, carbon black, etc. or the appropriate course of action post the fall-out from the desire to scuttle Brent Spar (an oil storage and tanker loading buoy in the North Sea). Proactive assistance in the form of designing bespoke and sophisticated Health and Safety management systems or assessing them to determine if they are actually being used - clients include Shell, BP, WS Atkins and BovisLendLease (BLL).

Areas of Expertise
Kerry takes a very different approach to most when he talks about Health and Safety. Despite its serious nature, he always gets his point across with humour or moving descriptions of when and where things have gone wrong, as well as trying to demystify the technicalities and language. He prides himself most on his ability to motivate those with the responsibility, as well as those actually doing the work, and liberate and enthuse people to have the confidence at trying to unlock whatever it is that stops people tackling what fundamentally is easy. He makes people challenge what is often a neglected or worse consciously belittled area of corporate activity despite its position in criminal law and the ramifications therein.
