Neal Fullerton Inspirational Speaker

Neal Fullerton: Energising Conferences and Bringing People Together with Music

Neal Fullerton is a highly sought-after and very engaging speaker who uses music in a unique interactive way to energise and engage audiences at conferences and seminars. There are others who use music - but his style is unique.

Using very simple instruments (colourful tuned plastic tubes called "Boomwhackers") which are handed out to the audience, he can easily have 500 conference delegates all playing Beethoven's 9th symphony together.

Hundreds of international companies in Scandinavia have invited him to energise their meetings with this lively, interactive and entertaining musical concept.

Neal Fullerton has created and run sessions for many blue-chip companies and major international organisations including Pfizer, Statoil, H&M, National Oilwell, the Red Cross and the Norwegian Armed Forces.

Neal Fullerton is passionate about music after many years as a professional musician, entertainer and music therapist. His interactive sessions clearly demonstrate how playing music as a group has many parallels with working as a group.

Neal Fullerton has a commercial background having worked for a number of international companies in sales and marketing and the idea to use music interactively came about after attending many conferences and noticing the "death by PowerPoint" syndrome!

This combination of commercial and musical experience not only makes him a very warm, engaging speaker but also brings strong credibility to his sessions.

Clients are impressed by the powerful effect that this very simple concept delivers, the way that Neal tailors his content to match their conference and the engaged, interactive mood that spills over to the rest of the meeting.

Delegates are motivated and stimulated by Neal's passion for music - which is contagious - and they enjoy his playfulness and inclusive style. He always leaves a group with a strong "feel-good" factor and delegates experience a real sense of achievement having reached a shared goal as a team.

Neal Fullerton: Energising Conferences & Bringing People Together with Music

Neal Fullerton is a highly engaging and sought-after speaker with a unique ability to engage and energise any audience with his interactive musical sessions.

Hundreds of companies throughout Scandinavia have had their conferences and seminars supercharged by Neal Fullerton into events full of engagement and interaction. Using the simplest of musical instruments (colourful tuned plastic tubes called “Boomwhackers”) which are handed out to the audience, he gets the entire group working as a team and can have 500 delegates all playing Beethoven’s 9th symphony together!

The idea to use music as a conference energiser came about because of Neal Fullerton's business background in sales and marketing. Having attended many conferences and seminars as a delegate, he realised that they were often far less than effective, simply because people became more and more fatigued as the meetings progressed. The expression: “death by PowerPoint” is a very real problem. What was needed was something that would energise the delegates but was easy to stage - and ideally would be relevant to the company themes or values. Neal’s musical expertise and experience as an entertainer combined with his commercial background provided the perfect solution.

Neal Fullerton's interactive and entertaining musical sessions can transform any audience into “participants” and totally energise any group. But more than that, the concept works as a very real metaphor to illustrate key ideas about teamwork. There are many parallels to be drawn between playing music as a group and working together as a group such as:

We need each other

Cooperation is essential

Everyone has something to contribute

Listening is important

Communication is vital

Maintaining your focus is key

Leadership is necessary

Neal Fullerton  has created successful interactive musical sessions for conferences and meetings with many blue-chip companies and major international organisations including Pfizer, Statoil, H&M, National Oilwell, the Red Cross and the Norwegian Armed Forces.

What makes Neal Fullerton such an engaging and credible speaker is his very diverse background, combining business experience and sales management together with practicing music therapy, in addition to time spent as a professional musician and entertainer touring internationally.

Neal Fullerton business background includes working with several global companies in the UK such as Pilkington and Bausch & Lomb running successful sales teams. He has also worked with key players in the Scandinavian oil industry including ConocoPhillips and Statoil - creating and delivering customised training courses in business presentation skills. His musical journey has taken him from the Royal College of Music, to music therapy and the world of entertainment, performing on cruise ships and hotels around the world. What is common to all of this is communication and teamwork. Neal says: “Think of any good band - The Rolling Stones, Duke Ellington or the Royal Philharmonic - they’re all really good “teams” that communicate effectively to produce harmony.”)

Clients are always struck by the energy, passion and fun that Neal Fullerton brings to their event, his ability to adapt the content to match their themes and the ongoing effect from his session: creating a positive and engaged atmosphere for the rest of the conference.

Delegates feel motivated and energised from Neal’s sessions and having the experience of being part of this very positive and entertaining musical interaction - they enjoy a sense of connectedness to their fellow delegates.   Kick-starting a meeting

  Breaking the ice

Getting people talking to each other

Neal Fullerton's musical energiser can work as an ice-breaker, as a metaphor for teamwork or as a great way to re-focus the group after lunch. Simply put: Neal’s sessions harness the power of music to bring people together.

Neal Fullerton was excellent.  It was a tough audience to engage with but he managed it.  Who would have thought he could get over 100 managers singing!  Neal related the content very well to working to together and working to one goal and ‘sticking to the plan’.  Feedback I’ve had has been that this was the best communications day.  Ending it with Neal Fullerton  will make it memorable for a long time.

Selco Builders Warehouse  Jan 2016

Neal Fullerton recently facilitated a wonderful interactive and impactful session for 700 people at a University of York Conference for its professional and support staff. The energy in the room that he created was incredible and people are still talking about its impact today, 7 months later. If you are looking for someone to bring home to people in a very short space of time the impact of them working together, in a fun, interactive way, I could not recommend Neal Fullerton highly enough.

"We have had lots of very positive feedback about the session Neal Fullerton  ran with us at our conference. It was just what we wanted and needed to start off what turned out to be, according to many, our best conference ever. Neal Fullerton’s approach was clear, firm in the nicest possible way and entertaining. He created lots of positive energy in the room which we could all feel, hear and see. Also, I loved the call and response part of the session which illustrated how we are hardwired to respond to certain stimuli, and to do so together, reinforcing the teamwork ethic."
