Since setting up and establishing his own highly successful business in the financial sector, Dean has developed a separate consulting company working with businesses of all shapes and sizes, sharing with them the secrets of his success that he has enjoyed and achieved.

Dean joined the financial services industry straight from college, beginning his career at Scottish Amicable (now part of Prudential). From there, Dean joined his father’s insurance brokerage before going into business himself in 1999. Since then it and he has gone from strength to strength. As well as being an Executive Director of Charles James Financial Planning, he also holds special permission with the Financial Services Authority for technical pensions work and regularly receives enquiries for assistance from other advisers in the industry who value his knowledge and expertise.

Dean has developed the organisation to cater for all types of people from all walks of life, so that as well as financial planning advice the 'Charles James group of companies' can also help clients with accounting and business alignment; insurance requirements; trustee roles and specialist tax advice.

The Business Alignment Programme provides tools and coaching methods to help develop businesses in terms of profitability, growth and people performance. Focus on sales and new-style selling techniques being paramount and a core principle of the programme.

In 2007 Dean teamed up with the World Snooker Champion Shaun Murphy, adding the power of sports psychology in creating success for businesses of every size. This resulted in the launch of ‘Breaking the Frame (Smashing Paradigms)’.

Dean is author of the audio book ‘Defining Your Own Success’, has appeared on radio and contributes to magazines and newspapers. Dean is fast becoming a well respected adviser, presenter and is also a certified practitioner of NLP.
